Sun World licenses Spanish company S un World International, LLC, of Bak- ersfield, California, has licensed El Ciruelo S.L. of Murcia, Spain, to market new Sun World plum, peach, apricot, and nectarine varieties produced throughout Europe. El Ciruelo, a producer, packer, and marketer, has the first Sun World stone fruit license issued in Spain. There are now 15 marketing companies worldwide that hold Sun World stone fruit licenses. The stone fruit to be marketed include Black Dia- mond, Black Giant, Red Diamond, and Red Giant plums, Amber Crest early ripening peaches, Super Star early nectarines, and the earlyripening, high-blush Honeycot apricots. Sun World's variety development work focuses on fruits with enhanced flavor, earlier and later ripening, and increased productivity. It has released more than 70 vari- eties over the past 35 years. Black Diamond plum Language learning made easy S martphones and their applications now make learn- ing Spanish or other languages easier than ever, says University of California's Gregory Billikopf, labor manage- ment farm advisor. Billikopf reviewed three language learning apps developed for smartphones and finds them to be more accessible than computer programs, allowing users to learn throughout the day, a few minutes at a time. All apps retail for less than $10, but offer different fea- tures.
