THE LAKEFRONT FESTIVAL OF ART celebrates its 53rd year in 2015, filling the grounds of the Milwaukee Art Museum with art and activities for the whole family. State-of-the-art tents shelter the artists' booths, allowing one-on-one discussions with exhibitors, who include jewel - ers, painters, sculptors, photog- raphers and more. The festival also offers family-friendly activities such as live music, refreshments and the PNC Children's Experience, featur- ing drama performances and hands-on art projects for kids of all ages. And admission to the festival includes admission to the museum's exhibitions and galleries. Adults can enjoy gourmet food and relax at the Milwau- kee Magazine Wine Garden or the Blue Moon Beer sampling area. For a change of pace, there's a sculpture garden cre- ated by Hawks Landscape to stroll through and a silent auc- tion of artist-donated works to bid on. Funds raised from the fes- tival support the museum's world-class collections and exhibitions, including the summer's featured exhibition, Van Gogh to Pollock: Modern Rebels Masterworks from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. At the The Paint Your Own Modern Rebel area, adults can channel their inner Dali, Kahlo or Picasso while creating a painting to take home.
