Our project goal is to present ideas to the Board of Directors as to how we can encourage Catholic youth to become involved in the Society. The focus of the meeting was to: • Review and update the NCSF Activity Program form. • Review the NCSF Fraternal Benefits brochure. • Review the NCSF Scholarship and Grant brochure. • Scholarship Programs flyer Our suggestions for improvements are as follows: NCSF Activity Program Form 1. The front half of the form shall remain the same. 2. The Junior Activity Program Guidelines, should read as follows: • Junior activities must be special events for junior members. • Activities should educate members in faith, volunteerism and patriotism. • Activity must be connected to and promote NCSF as the sponsor. • A usable photo and article for use in the NCSF Magazine will be required to receive funding. (Digital or print photos will be accepted. Photos will not be returned.) • Funds received as a subsidy for a junior activity are to be used, first to recoup any expense connected to the event and then held in the court treasury earmarked solely for future junior activities. • At least one junior activity should include service to others. Putting faith into action by helping parish or community demonstrating Love, Benevolence and Charity. • Courts can sponsor 6 activities or projects annually for junior members (ages 0 through high school graduation). At least 5 junior members must be present at each event to qualify for subsidy. • Guests are always welcome to attend, however only ONE guest event will be subsidized each year. • The junior members and guests are asked to sign themselves in on the back of this form. Reimbursement: • The junior court activity will be subsidized at $3.00 for each junior member who participated in the activity or project. • The subsidy given for an invited guest (ages 0 thru high school graduation) will be $2.00 per guest at ONE event yearly. Return the completed Junior Activity forms complete with signatures to: National Catholic Society of Foresters Court Relations Department 320 South School Street Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 3. The backside of the form should be revised. Additional brochures in regard to fraternal scholarships will be evaluated at future meetings of the committee.
