TRUCKING OPPORTUNITIES Fleet insider CRST MALONE RECOGNIZES DRIVERS FOR 2011 CRST Malone recently recognized outstanding owner-operators and mil- lion-mile award winners at its annual awards banquet. Tim Downs received the 2011 Owner- Operator of the Year award. Three driv- ers also were also recognized as owner- operators of the quarter. James Hand Sr. was the winner for the first quarter, Chris Grizzle for the second quarter and Tim Downs for the third quarter. The company also presented a 4-million-mile award to Joseph Huff- man, and 3-million-mile awards to David Schwandt and Eddie Krogman. Two-million-mile awards went to David Gregory, Gary Schimmel, Glenn Brown, Lindy Daily and Michael Bridges. Receiving 1-million-mile awards were Gary Aud and William Mathews. CALARK BENEFITS ANIMAL SHELTERS CalArk Trucking hosted a Treat For Paws employee costume contest on Oct. 31, to benefit four local animal shelters in central Arkansas. More than 20,000 pounds of dry cat food and dog food were donated by 150 CalArk employees, who also contributed animal blankets, pet toys, canned food and gift cards and monetary gifts to be used for purchas- ing feed for rescued farm animals. DECKER OCTOBER DRIVERS OF THE MONTH Decker Truck Line Inc. honored Kirby Goos and Roy Wilson as the com- pany's October 2011 Drivers of the Month. Goos was selected in the flat- bed division. Wilson was chosen for the reefer-van division.
