At the beginning of 2015, the 1965 50 Year Old Single Harvest Tawny Port made its debut and is currently available in limited quanti- ties in the U.S. Taylor Fladgate plans to release a 1966 in January 2016. The 1965 50 Year Old Single Harvest Tawny Port is 21% ABV and has a suggested retail price of $300. SURF SWIM 2013 CHARDONNAY Guarachi Wine Partners has intro- duced Surf Swim, a new California 2013 Chardonnay intended to appeal to nostalgic baby boomers and in-the-moment Millennials who enjoy California's most popular white grape. The Chardonnay within is grown in coastal vineyards. Surf Swim retails for $9.99 and is available nationwide. NEW FROM CROWN ROYAL Crown Royal has introduced its fi rst-ever blended rye whisky, Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye. This offering combines the richness of Northern harvest rye grains with the smoothness of Crown Royal to create a balanced whisky. The Canadian climate provides ideal conditions for growing rye grains, according to the com- pany. The grains are planted in the fall, then blanketed with snow during the harsh winter months and only fi nish their growth cycle once they have sprouted throughout spring and summer. Available at 90 proof, Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye is available at a suggested retail price of $29.99 for a 750ml bottle. To further bolster its portfolio, the brand has also introduced Crown Royal Hand Selected Barrel, which is 103 proof and available for a suggested retail price of $54.99 for a 750ml bottle. 1792 SWEET WHEAT Barton 1792 Distillery will soon debut its fi rst ever new 1792 whiskey expression: 1792 Sweet Wheat, a Kentucky straight bourbon. Distilled back in 2007, the rec- ipe features wheat as the secondary grain, rather than traditional rye. 1792 Sweet Wheat was bottled at 91.2 proof and has a suggested retail price of $32.99. ALAMOS MALBECS AND TORRONTÉS Alamos Wines has announced new Malbec and Torrontés Argentinian wines. Alamos grapes are grown at the foothills of the Andes Mountains at an elevation of 3,000 to 5,000 feet. The 2014 Malbec blends concentrated plum fl avors with small portions of Syrah (6%) and Bonarda (4%), for dark cherry and blackberry fl avors. Other tasting notes include brown spice and vanilla. The ABV is 13.5% and the suggested retail price is $13. The 2013 Mendoza Selección Malbec begins with ripe plum and blackberry notes, according to the company, with notes of brown spice and black pepper on the palate. This 100% Malbec wine is full-bodied, with 13.9% ABV, and a suggested price of $20. The 2014 Torrontés is crisp and fragrant, according to the company, with aromas of orange and jasmine blossom. The palate includes notes of peach, ripe pineapple and fresh herbs, with a zing of acidity on the fi nish. Ideal food pairings are empanadas, Thai or any other spicy dish- es. This wine has a 13.2% ABV and a suggested price of $13. NEW FROM NORTHSTAR BRANDS NorthStar Brands LLC has announced Goral Vodka and Honeymaker. Goral Vodka is made from a "select variety" of Durum Wheat and Tatra Spring Mountain water in a 12th century Slovakian village. The vodka recipe is inspired by an ancient recipe discovered in the preserved distillery beneath L'ubovna Castle. The term "Goral" means a mountain ranger who lives in the Tatra Mountains. The suggested retail price is $24.99-$29.99 for a 750-ml bottle. Honey- maker is a "dry" style mead. Made from all-nat- ural ingredients and gluten-free, Honeymaker has a 12% ABV. The suggested retail price is $14.99-$17.99 for a 750-ml bottle. NEW BLUE CHAIR BAY FLAVORS Blue Chair Bay Rum has announced two new fl avors: Banana Rum Cream and Vanilla. Banana Rum Cream is a blend of fresh, sweet, ripe banana with cara- mel and vanilla notes brought together with Caribbean. Vanilla has sun-baked vanilla meringue aroma, smooth body, and a warm and creamy fi nish. The suggested retail price is $19.99 for a bottle of the Banana Rum Cream, and $18.99 for the Vanilla.
