tobaccoasia 37 A BIG STEP TOWARDS DEGRADABILITY A big advance in degradability has arrived with the new dispersible plugwrap from Essentra Filter Products. Dispersing in water three times faster than standard plugwrap materials, this new innovation is available to use within a number of our existing filter products to support their increased degradability. Use with Infused™, our paper filter which offers higher tar retention than a standard filter and lowers the overall product cost without affecting taste. Also with BiTech™, which combines acetate tow with paper, to provide greater filtration efficiency, cost efficiency and degradability than a standard mono-acetate filter. Or use with ROA™, our filter that reduces both cellulose acetate use and weight without affecting the smoking experience or filtration. Finally, for a more environmentally-friendly filter, combine with Ochre™, our unbleached paper filter which uses no chemical adhesi ves to bond the fibres and, like this new plugwrap, degrades three times faster than standard filters. Make steps towards greater degradability with our new dispersible plugwrap. "In other words, even as a heavy smoker, you won't have any nicotine cravings for several hours," he said. So there you have it! One dose of Turbo dokha just before that lengthy boardroom meeting or that enjoyable – alas smoke-free – restaurant visit will tide you over comfortably without the dreaded symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. A long-haul flight also no longer poses a problem. Since Tur- bo dokha burns odor- and smoke-free, it is possible to re- treat into the lavatory for a quick mid-flight fix without being caught by an over-zealous air hostess or inadvertently setting off the smoke alarm. "Although our own office is designated as a non-smoking environment, we use it all the time and there have never been any complaints," joked Jamalou, hinting at yet another advantage his product imparts: no more disgust- ingly stale smell clinging to clothes and hair, estranging regular tobacco smokers from their non-smoking compatriots. As an added bonus Jamalou also mentioned the considerable cost savings dokha smokers can enjoy. "The average consumer only needs two or three doses per day instead of having to buy a pack of cigarettes that nowadays set one back a small fortune." Turbo dokha – which comes in light, medium and hot strength to accommodate the whole consumer spectrum from beginners to heavy smokers – is smoked in a traditional pipe known as a "medwakh". Its main characteristic is its tiny bowl, one filling with an equally miniscule amount of dokha being sufficient for one smoking session. Bin Khumery Smoking Goods Co. LLC positions itself as a one-stop supplier not only of its Turbo dokha blends but also the accompanying accessories, like medwakhs, pipe cleaners, and disposable filter mouthpieces. "Our medwakh models are all hand-crafted at our own workshop, and large-quantity buy- ers or distributors can even order customized models." The pipes are small enough to comfortably fit into a coat pocket, handbag, or satchel, but also make for great conversational pieces. The company also puts a particular emphasis on the qual- ity of its tobacco blends. "We maintain our own tobacco plantations here in the UAE and ensure the plants are grown 100% organic without the use of any fertilizers or pest con- Dohka - substantially more nicotine than regular cigarettes: one or two puffs at a time is enough
