Hertz, managing director, Hertz Flavors With a rather diversified roster of international customers such as medium to large e-liquid manufacturers, e-cigarette producers, and multinational tobacco companies at hand, Flavoriq currently offers close to 100 customizable platform flavors in stock. But its true strength lies in the company's ability to develop and de- liver innovative and tailor-made solutions for the e-cigarette and vaping industry. "It's this tailor-made flavor design service that results in signature flavors, which will make our customers stand out from the crowd," asserted Hertz. "During any development project we work very closely with the customer to create a flavor or liquid system specifically for their particular application or de- vice," asserted Hertz. Besides the roughly 100 platform items Flavoriq always has in stock, it has in its first year of operation already developed more than 300 tailor-made products for all sorts of applications like disposable e-cigarettes, cartridges, bottles, etc., proving not only its popularity with clients, but also its dynamic business ap- proach. "We generally segment taste profiles in different ways such as tobacco, fruity, fresh, cocktails and drinks versus tobac- co-related, shisha-related, and vapor-unique. Though particular taste profiles can be translated from different tobacco products, we re-engineer and fine-tune them for use in e-cigarettes," Hertz said. But apart from single flavor liquids he also sees a strong trend to have flavors combined into what he calls "fusion fla- vors", a process that again necessitates painstaking lab experi- ments and testing to derive the envisioned result. While Flavoriq in Dubai is responsible for all strategic ac- tivities, sales and customer support, as well as marketing and shipping, all operational activities such as development, testing, quality control, and manufacturing are handled by Hertz Flavors
