"With the acquisition by Security Brands, Inc., the American Access Systems brand will continue to experi- ence growth through new product de- velopment and innovative technology for the access control industry," said Kevin Downing, newly-appointed president of Security Brands, Inc. "We believe this move will benefit not only our American Access distrib- utors, but will provide the springboard needed to allow American Access Sys- tems to continue to grow as a leading manufacturer of American made ac- cess control equipment," he said. "Our objective is to continue to grow Amer- ican Access Systems while setting new standards for the care and service for our customers and the industry over- all. We have always been customer fo- cused and that will not change." After 33 years in the industry, American Access Systems founder, and president/CEO Don Allen has re- tired. Downing was promoted after more than 17 years with American Ac- cess Systems, serving as director of marketing and sales and, most re- cently, as general manager. Michael "Jay" Jernigan has been promoted to vice-president of opera- tions after working in multiple posi- tions over the last 18 years with American Access Systems. "At AAS we have a fundamental approach towards business across the board. Our slogan really sums it up: American Access Systems is 'Your Partner in Access Control,'" stated Downing. "We offer fast, friendly, re- liable technical support with our prod- ucts. We respect our industry and everyone in it. Security Brands, Inc. is now going to take that one step further with the AAS brand." Security Brands, Inc. currently consists of three divisions that all re- late to the perimeter access control in- dustry: American Access Systems, Summit Access Control and Kodiak Black. All-O-Matic is on the move – literally VAN NUYS, Calif. — All-O-Matic, a manufacturer of heavy duty slide, swing and overhead gate operators for over 18 years, has com- pleted a move to a larger and more ef- ficient facility close to the company's former site. "Our new building is a hop-skip- and-jump away from our old space," said John R. William, All-O-Matic's president and CEO. "Centrally located in Van Nuys, California, it is triple the size of the old warehouse with enough parking to ac- commodate our growing customer base and the increased shipping and delivery needs. "The new facility allows All-O- Matic's design, development, and pro- duction team the space necessary to continue working on new product campaigns that are currently in our pipeline.
