elebrate the holidays as well as Milwaukee's German heritage at the Second Annual Best Christkindlmarket Milwaukee on Thursday, Nov. 19, through Sunday, Nov. 22, at Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery, 901 W. Juneau Ave. in downtown Milwaukee. Admission is free. The Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery and Mader's Restaurant have partnered to create a family-friendly event, taking place both indoors and outdoors. Purchase schnitzel sandwiches, strudel, Usinger bratwurst, pretzels & cheese dip, soups, mini Schaum Torte, hot chocolate, Spaten German beer and Pabst Blue Ribbon. More than 20 vendors will offer Christmas ornaments, imported German chocolate, bakery, Advent calendars, hand- sewn clothing, spices, cheeses, woodworking, leather goods, jewelry, wreaths and more. Mader's Tower Gift Gallery brings imported steins and Hummel figurines. The Best Place gift shop offers merchandise including shirts, hats, collectibles, ornaments and more. Planned entertainment includes strolling entertainers and polka bands, with an expanded children's area. Erich Adams strolls with his accordion. Sigmund Snopek III serenades with an alpenhorn. The Squeezettes bring their "power polka" sound to The Great Hall stage Saturday. The Brewhaus Polka Kings, along with Sigmund Snopek III, will wow the crowd on Sunday. Children's activities include visits with Santa, storytellers, cookie decorating, letters to Santa and Kohl's Wild Theater from the Milwaukee County Zoo. On Sunday, there is a special Mass at 10am.
