KEY GALLERIES NOW IN ITS 24TH YEAR, Milwaukee's quarterly Gallery Night and Day event is the area's premier event for gallery hopping and art viewing. Sixty-two venues will participate in the spring event April 20-21, including most of the major private art galleries in the Historic Third Ward and East Town areas, along with many retailers. Highlights of this month's event include: • TORY FOLLIARD GALLERY, 233 N. Milwaukee St. in the Historic Third Ward, will use Gallery Night to open Looking Backwards, paintings and prints of Warrington Colescott that will remain on display until May 26. On April 21, the gallery will host a breakfast and conversation with the artist from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. • At the ITALIAN COMMUNITY CENTER, 631 E. Chicago St., gallery hoppers will find the entertain- ing works of digital illustrator/painter Brittany Farina. • THE COPAGALLERY, 228 E. Menomonee St., presents its annual exhibition of Coalition of Photographic Arts members, working in traditional film and digital processes. • In the East Town area, don't miss the variety of Masters and Miniatures on the walls of DELIND GALLERY OF FINE ART, 450 E. Mason St. • At DEAN JENSEN GALLERY, 759 N. Water St., view Winter Dream, a suite of etchings by Jim Dine, a prominent proto-Pop artist; The Shangri-La Project, a series of paintings by Madison abstractionist Sally Hutchison, andNaives, Seers, Lone Wolves and World Savers, a display of "outsider art" by major figures, including Milwaukee's own Josephus Farmer. • Inside the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, 929 N. Water St., is the MORNING GLORY GALLERY,which will feature the fascinating stuffed animals of Christina Ward. Meet the artist and browse work of more than 50 Wisconsin artists. Making it easier to move from gallery to gallery is the free Gallery Night Xpress and the new Harley- Davidson Museum shuttle. Both shuttles make loops from 5-9 p.m., boarding at 225 E.
