William Porter, Director of Consulting
at CN Utility Consulting (CNUC),
is the principal project manager
for benchmarking and research. He
has 22 years of experience in the
utility vegetation management (UVM)
industry.
Carolina Arango is an arborist for the
City of Surrey enforcing the tree pro-
tection bylaw on private property. She
currently volunteers groundtruthing trees
for a tree app, guest lecturing at the
British Columbia Institute of Technology,
and leading tree tours at the Riverview
Hospital Arboretum. Carolina
is a 2015 MFI graduate, Forestry
Technologist, Certified Arborist and is
TRAQ credentialed.
Julian Dunster (www.dunster.ca) is a pro-
fessional planner and consulting arbor-
ist based in Victoria, British Columbia.
He has over thirty years of professional
practice around the world. He works
with developers and municipal staff to
create tree-effective retention plans, as
well as evidence-based reports and
plans that are factually accurate. He is
the author of Documenting Evidence:
Practical Guidance for Arborists.
Marty Frye is a native of Washington,
D.C, where he works at the urban
forestry non-profit Casey Trees as the
Arborist for Residential Plantings. He is
an ISA Certified Arborist and an ISA
qualified Tree Risk Assessor (TRAQ).
Bob Polomski is an Extension Associate
in the Clemson University School of
Agricultural, Forest, and Environmental
Sciences. His responsibilities in exten-
sion, teaching, and research allow him
to explore the nexus between growers,
arborists, and landscape architects
as a means of improving the quality
and diversity of nursery stock, enhanc-
ing biodiversity in streetscapes, and
increasing the longevity of street trees.

Rich Weber
Rich Weber has a BS in Forestry
from Purdue University and has served
for 17 years as Horticulturist for the
Indiana University-Purdue University Fort
Wayne (IPFW) Physical Plant-Grounds
Department. Weber developed a tree
inventory with data on over 9500
IPFW campus trees and designed and
maintains the Native Trees of Indiana
River Walk and website (http://sites.
ipfw.edu/native-trees).
