Commercial electric storage water heater shipments increased 25.6% in September 2015 to 7,609 units, up from 6,060 units shipped in September 2014. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of com- mercial gas storage water heaters increased 3.9% to 74,162 units, compared with 71,375 units shipped during the same period in 2014. Year-to-date commercial electric storage water heater shipments increased 16.3% to 64,513 units, up from 55,478 units shipped during the same period in 2014. Warm Air Furnaces U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces for April 2015 decreased 0.4%, to 182,201 units, down from 182,884 units shipped in April 2014. Oil warm air furnace ship- ments increased 9.8%, to 1,934 units in April 2015, up from 1,762 units shipped in April 2014. U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces for May 2015 decreased 12.7%, to 183,407 units, down from 210,208 units shipped in May 2014. Oil warm air furnace ship- ments increased 10.8%, to 1,469 units in May 2015, up from 1,326 units shipped in May 2014. U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces for June 2015 increased 8.6%, to 257,321 units, up from 236,962 units shipped in June 2014. Oil warm air furnace shipments increased 28.5percent, to 2,131 units in June 2015, up from 1,659 units shipped in June 2014. U.S. shipments of gas warm air fur- naces for July 2015 increased 13.1% to 221,563 units, up from 195,905 units shipped in July 2014. Oil warm air fur- nace shipments decreased 0.3% to 1,899 units in July 2015, down from 1,905 units shipped in July 2014. U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces for August 2015 increased 31.1% to 269,279 units, up from 205,324 units shipped in August 2014. Oil warm air furnace ship- ments increased10.0% to 3,094 units in August 2015, up from 2,813 units shipped in August 2014. U.S. shipments of gas warm air fur- naces for September 2015 increased 10.9% to 317,741 units, up from 286,429 units shipped in September 2014. Oil warm air furnace shipments increased 1.4% to 4,895 units in September 2015, up from 4,829 units shipped in September 2014. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces increased 5.8% to 2,029,999 units, compared with 1,918,179 units shipped during the same period in 2014. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of oil warm air furnaces increased 9.7% to 23,996, com- pared with 21,879 units shipped during the same period in 2014. Central Air Conditioners and Air-Source Heat Pumps U.S. shipments of central air condition- ers and air-source heat pumps totaled 673,360 units in April 2015, up 3.8% from 648,404 units shipped in April 2014. U.S. shipments of air conditioners increased 5.3%, to 456,072 units, up from 433,078 units shipped in April 2014. U.S. shipments of air-source heat pumps increased 0.9%, to 217,288 units, up from215,326 units shipped in April 2014. U.S. shipments of central air con- ditioners and air-source heat pumps totaled 737,173 units in May 2015, down 10.0% from 819,477 units shipped in May 2014. U.S. shipments of air conditioners decreased 9.9%, to 499,250 units, down from 554,348 units shipped in May 2014. U.S. shipments of air-source heat pumps decreased 10.3%, to 237,923 units, down from 265,129 units shipped in May 2014. U.S. shipments of central air con- ditioners and air-source heat pumps totaled 878,513 units in June 2015, down 8.2% from 957,238 units shipped in June 2014. U.S. shipments of air conditioners decreased 9.1%, to 611,900 units, down from 673,296 units shipped in June2014. U.S. shipments of air-source heat pumps decreased 6.1%, to 266,613 units, down from 283,942 units shipped in June 2014. U.S. shipments of central air condi- tioners and air-source heat pumps totaled 726,607 units in July 2015, up 2.3% from 710,279 units shipped in July 2014. U.S. shipments of air conditioners increased 4.8% to 506,914 units, up from 483,850 units shipped in July2014. U.S. shipments of air-source heat pumps decreased 3.0% to 219,693 units, down from 226,429 units shipped in July 2014. U.S. shipments of central air condi- tioners and air-source heat pumps totaled 565,252 units in August 2015, up 9.0% from 518,650 units shipped in August 2014. U.S. shipments of air conditioners increased 12.9% to 393,798 units, up from 348,703 units shipped in August 2014. U.S. shipments of air-source heat pumps increased 0.9% to 171,454 units, up from 169,947 units shipped in August 2014.
