The Jones family has long been a member of P&CMA. Cougar Oil is a fuel and oil distributor covering Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. Rex says he grew up in the petroleum business. "Our company has been involved in P&CMA as long as I can remember," says Rex. " One of my favorite memories growing up was going to the AOA meetings. My sister and I would load up on candy." P&MCA (AOA) holds many fond memories for Rex – even that of winning a couple of go karts at events. Rex, his wife, Kim, and their 7-year old daughter, Emma, live in Selma. Although Rex grew up in Selma, he went away to college at The University Once again, we welcome Dean Mack to the P&CMA Board of Directors. Dean served as Chairman of the P&CMA Board of Directors in 2012. Dean is Vice President of Turner Oil Company. He is responsible for running the company, which includes accounting, delivery, regulations, and procedures. Dean has been active on the P&CMA Board of Directors for many years. "One reason I'm involved is it gives me the chance to learn from others. They face the same things I do day in and day out," says Dean. Rex Jones Cougar Oil Company Selma, AL Dean Mack Turner Oil Company David Melton Quality Petroleum of Alabama of Alabama, then went to work as a salesman in the Pensacola office of Cougar Oil. Over the next 13 years, Rex worked his way up in the business until he became the manager of the Pensacola location. In 2014, Rex and his family moved back to Selma to the home office where he could work more closely with his father, Larry. Like his father, Rex hopes to help continue to grow the business. "My first goal would be to take care of all our current customers and offer the best service we can." While he does work hard, Rex likes to take some time to relax. He enjoys spending time on the water boating and fishing. He also enjoys getting away for a game of tennis. Rex says that P&CMA is a great resource for the company "because they keep us up to date on everything in our industry. The fuel business is always changing and it is nice to be able to stay on top of it." Rex says his personal goals for the association in 2016 are to become more involved. "I look forward to being able to meet so many people that are in the same business that we are in." He also looks forward to the younger generation becoming more involved in the association. We are pleased to welcome Rex Jones to the P&CMA Board of Directors. We welcome David Melton back to P&CMA Board of Directors. David is the Vice President of Quality Petroleum of Alabama. He served on the board in 2013 and has agreed to serve again this year. David believes P&CMA "offers the best opportunity for us to develop relationships with our local policy makers and politicians. It also gives us a chance to share ideas with our fellow competitors and create an environment for positive change and education in the fuel industry." For this reason, David has always tried to participate in the association's activities. David says his hopes for the association are to find superior opportunities for education which will increase the value of the association to members. We are pleased to welcome David back to the board.
