Great time to tee it up at other fine courses U.S. Womenʼs Open returns to Wisconsin By JERRY SLASKE KEY Mi lwaukee Golf Editor THE 67TH U.S. WOMEN'S OPEN returns to Blackwolf Run in Kohler July 2-8, bringing all of the stars of the international circuit. The tournament will be played on the club's original course designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1988. The same course hosted the 1998 U.S.Women's Open won by Se Ri Pak. Visitors will see all of golf's biggest stars, including Yani Tseng, Sandra Gal, Ai Miyazato, Stacy Lewis, Paula Creamer, Suzann Pettersen, Na Yeon Choi, Jiyai Chin, Brittany Lincicome, Lexi Thompson, Natalie Gulbis, Cristie Kerr, Sun Young Yoo and Michelle Wie. Blackwolf Run – part of the American Club Resort just 50 miles north of Milwaukee – is regularly ranked on the list of "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" by Gol f Digestand in a select group of only 36 hotels worldwide to be rated both Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond. It's a wild ride, but lots of fun. Hawthorne Hills – 4720 County Rd.
