112 CULTURED I n t o t h e D u s t For her new column, Pari Ehsan presents a contemporary time capsule capturing the moment with a single image. PORTRAIT BY JASON GRINGLER "This column is the debut of an ongoing exercise in what constitutes this moment. Here, I pose encased in my element of aesthetic minimalism, a strike of color and layers of material expression. Through the diamond-grated mirror-backed exterior of Jason Gringler's Screens at Solivagant Gallery, the artist has created a shift in our perception of what constitutes a screen or an experience in our digital world. Imprinted with this idea, I continue my investigation into the fluidity between art, design, fashion and life, incorporating a monastic stool by ceramist Hun-Chung Lee and portraying a sporty futurism in Chromat's structural experiments for the human form. All in the spirit of maximal experimentation."—Pari Ehsan A stool by Hun-Chung Lee from R & Company in front of Jason Gringler's Screens installation at Solivagant Gallery. Chromat top and sneakers, Michi stirrup leggings and LaCrasia custom leather gloves. Hair by Cosma De Marinis, makeup by Samantha Dametta.
