CULTURED 89 11 For its new 5,400-square-foot concept store in the Miami Design District, FENDI collaborated with architect and designer Johanna Grawunder on a Miami-esque color-blocked façade. Featuring vibrant hues of fluorescent blue, green and orange panels with UV and LED lighting throughout the structure, Grawunder refers to her approach as "Color Tags." "Fendi's concept embodies a fresh, sophisticated and energetic approach that's atypical of most luxury brands," says the designer. "The concept of 'Color Tags' was to take that spirit and bring it out onto the façade." The green color-field on the front of the building is lit with black light at night to create a glowing effect, while the side of the two-story boutique features an "immersive experience, which leaves you flooded in glowing orange fluorescent light." The interior of the store was designed by Fendi's in-house team and includes exposed brick walls and floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light. fendi.com Johanna Grawunder PORTRAIT BY TOM FECHT
