Hedgren said that the concept of Army Essentials/Essential Army is a fundamen- tal plan to save the lost and to bring them to the Lord. "It is rooted in the very DNA of every Salvationist. Every General from the Founder to our current leader has sought to lead us back to an ideal of fi rst things—and forward to the practical effectiveness in our present reality."
