This month the Bisazza Foundation opened a new cultural center dedi- cated to design and contemporary architecture in its Montecchio Mag- giore headquarters. In addition to displaying works that span the company's archives, the Foundation will also host temporary exhibi- tions, including its inaugural show, John Pawson—Plain Space, a major retrospective of acclaimed British designer Pawson in conjunction with the Design Museum, London. The show will also include the unveiling of a site-specific work by the designer—his first in mosaic tile. fondazionebisazza.it 12 13 GOOD DESIGN ISN'T just about looking good, especially not for the Mexico City- based VERDMX, whose vertical gardens are cleaning up a city known as much for its air pol- 32 CULTURED lution as its armored cars.
