www.cheersonline.com 15 March/April 2016 • PRODUCTS Green Spot Château Léoville Barton is initially matured in a traditional mix of ex-oloroso sherry, new bourbon and ex-bourbon barrels. It's then transferred into the ex-Bordeaux wine casks for 12 to 24 months. Maturing Green Spot in the Château Léoville Barton wine casks provides an as- sortment of floral and wood characteristics on the nose and palate, the company says, which give way to a long, spicy finish that is "reminiscent of the terroir in France and Ireland." Bottled at 46% ABV. SRP: $99.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Svedka has expanded its line of flavored vodkas with a new Cucumber Lime ex- pression. The vodka, which the company says boasts a combination of zesty citrus and cool cucumber flavors, is available nationwide. SRP: $12.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Deep Eddy Peach is made with real peaches and Texas aquifer water and produced in small batches at the brand's distillery just outside Austin, TX. The new flavor works well with simple mixers such as ginger ale, iced tea and lemonade, as well as with Champagne or sparkling wine, the company says, and is available nationwide. SRP: $19.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Originally released at 20% ABV (40 proof), Ole Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine has raised the new batch to 70 proof (35% ABV). While the flavor has been slightly altered, the sweet taste of apple pie still remains, the company says. SRP: $19.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Sam Adams' Nitro Project includes three beers. The White Ale (5.5% ABV) is made with orange peel, coriander and Grains of Paradise, with hints of orange and peppery spice and a light wheat character. Nitro IPA (7.5% ABV) has initial creaminess that gives way to hop intensity, the company says. Nitro Coffee Stout (5.8% ABV) is a jet-black brew with dark roasted malts, notes of bittersweet chocolate with hints of dark fruit. SRP: $8.99-$10.99 per four-pack of 15-oz. cans. Pernod Ricard has unveiled Malibu Pineapple Upside Down Cake. A blend of Caribbean rum and coconut liqueur, the new product can be enjoyed in shots, mixed with fruit juices or blended with ice cream, the company says. Malibu Pineapple Upside Down Cake is 21% ABV and nationally available. SRP: $14.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
