"We'd like to thank Shane for his commitment to op- erational excellence and establishing best practices in manu- facturing," said Terry McNew, MasterCraft's president and CEO. "His efforts have helped transform MasterCraft into an elite, leading-edge North American manufacturer. Shane has built a very skilled team and leaves the company with a strong foundation for continued operational excellence and profi table growth. "Furthermore, we're excited to announce the promotion of Larry to vice president of operations. Larry has worked alongside Shane for the past four years, and has been respon- sible for developing, implementing and managing all areas of manufacturing. He's a collaborative leader and was instru- mental in MasterCraft securing the 2015 IndustryWeek Best Plants award. We look forward to him stepping up and as- suming oversight of all operations." Janosek joined MasterCraft in March 2012 as the director of manufacturing and has more than 18 years of cross-func- tional business experience in the automotive industry. Prior to MasterCraft, he was in charge of International Automotive Components (IACNA)'s operations in Madisonville, Ky., as a plant manager and corporate director of North America, Materials Management. ZODIAC KEEPING OPERATIONS IN S. CAROLINA, PLANS TO INCREASE PRODUCTION Zodiac Nautic North America – a subsidiary of Zodiac Nautic – recently re-signed a fi ve-year property lease agreement for its North American head- quarters to remain in Summerville, S.C. "This area has provided an ideal location not only logistically but also for talent resources," said Zodiac Nautic North America President Gary Durnan. "We want to continue our plans for growth and expansion, and our current facility and lease afford us those opportunities." In addition to the agreement, Zodiac Nautic plans on bringing certain product ranges' fi berglass production in house by mid-2017. "Our facility has mainly been an area of receiving product from our parent company where it's assembled to specifi cally tailor to our American market," said Durnan. "But with our new ownership and direction, we can now look to bring fi berglass production in house to Summerville over the next 16 to 18 months, as well as restructure our production lines to create better effi ciencies. Bottom line, we have increasing demand, and we want to maintain the proper resources and processes to meet our customer demand more autonomously. "European production is already back to 100 percent, and inventory channels are fl owing freely which means we are receiving product here much faster than we have been experiencing," added Durnan. "It's another sign we're healthy again in all areas of the company, adding to the value of our historic brand."
