Saluting Vietnam veterans
Marty Meyer, a 40-plus-year trucking veteran from
Rancho Cordova, Calif., drives this 2013 Kenworth
T660 owned by TW Transport of Chaney, Wash.,
pulling a reefer in western and southern states.
The truck has a 450-hp Cummins 1800 with 3:55
rears. Each year, Meyer, a
Vietnam veteran, is given the
opportunity to pull "The Wall
That Heals" for the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial Fund.
Guilty
Pleasure
Jeff Bencic of Murfreesboro,
Tenn., drives this 2014
Peterbilt 388 to haul new
and used cars with a Cottrell
headrack and trailer for
Continental Transport of
Brighton, Colo. The truck
has a Cummins with a slight
tune modification and a Fass
fuel system, an 18-speed
Eaton and 3:08 rears. Bencic
added the 20-inch Texas box
bumper and Rockwood cus-
tom grille on the front, J&J
front and rear blinker bars,
cab and sleeper lights, air
cleaner lights and axle cov-
ers. He calls the truck "Guilty
Pleasure" because while he
feels guilty for being away
from home and his family, he
gets pleasure from driving it
across the country.
