16 • JULY 2016 • WORLD FENCE NEWS The American Fence Associ- ation (AFA) and the National Or- namental and Miscellaneous Met- als Association (NOMMA) have announced they will co-locate the FENCETECH and METALfab shows in San Antonio, Tex., Feb. 1–5, 2017 FENCETECH is, of course, the annual convention and trade exhibi- tion of the AFA, while METALfab is sponsored by NOMMA. As previously announced, the site is the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. "AFA is proud to announce the partnership with NOMMA to co-lo- cate the two shows," said AFA exec- utive director Tony Thornton, CFP, CAGOI, CAGSD. "The FENCETECH and METAL- fab shows will allow attendees from all over the country to discover the industry's best products, services and professional development and offer an opportunity to celebrate all this great industry has to offer in an environ- ment conducive to collaboration and community." "We are excited about co-locat- ing with FENCETECH and working with AFA," said Todd Daniel, CAE, executive director of NOMMA. "This agreement is the result of several years of discussions and I'm delighted to see this vision becoming a reality. Both of our organizations have great strengths, and by combining our an- nual shows we can now expose our attendees to more products, services, and new ideas." FENCETECH is the largest gathering in the fence industry and METALfab is NOMMA's premier event for ornamental and miscella- neous metals professionals. "We're trying to look at what's best for the industry and create an offering where we can show more as- pects of the fence and metals indus- try under one roof so attendees can come and go between the two," added Thornton. "Together, these high-pro- file events will be a one-stop shop for decision makers and place them on the frontline of the latest products and services in the fencing and metals in- dustries." Thornton and Daniel noted that the two associations have a long-stand- ing affiliation, and have collaborated on industry issues in the past.
