As the country's sole refinery the Irving Oil Whitegate Refinery will continue to supply to its existing customer base. Irving Oil was founded in 1924 and is a privately-owned regional refining and marketing company. In addition to its refinery in Whitegate, Ireland, Irving Oil operates Canada's largest refinery, in Saint John, N.B., which is located 65 miles north of the US border and has reached production rates in excess of 320,000 barrels per day. With over 900 fueling locations, operations from a network of distribution terminals, and a delivery fleet of tractor trailers, Irving Oil serves wholesale, commercial and retail custom- ers in Atlantic Canada, Quebec, and New England. SCULLY SIGNAL HOSTS 80TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION Scully Signal Co., Wilmington, Mass., celebrated its 80th anni- versary with a special Customer Appreciation Event on Sept. 22. The free event was held at its headquarters in Wilmington, and included plant tours, product seminars, ser- vice workshops, and a barbecue lunch and refreshments under a tent. Some of the topics covered during the day included: Technical tips for maintenance and troubleshooting tank trailer and loading rack overfill prevention systems Bulk plant liquid storage and transfer regulations— what is required, and Scully solutions New product seminars—new rack control tester and IntelliCheck3 onboard truck control unit Whistles and gauges—tips for proper installation Special 80th anniversary product savings Scully Signal technologies are designed to provide for the safe, efficient, and reliable transportation, storage, and han- dling of valuable liquid resources.
