As a member of IDA since 2004 and serving on the board since 2013, I have learned the inner workings of IDA and have helped to perpetuate its purpose and function. Serving on the Board and on the Conventions sub committee, I have helped to coordinate our future conventions. Our sub committee is a focused group, steering future conventions only in the direction that is in the best interest of IDA. In 2016, I am also on the sub committee to re elect or elect new members to our board. In my four year tenure on the Board , I have attended every scheduled meeting. Throughout my years and my travels, I have met with and dealt with the most interesting people in the world, some are from the manufacturing and distribution side of our industry and some are our customers. My best teachers are from all sides. I believe that if you commit to a task, you do it to the best of your ability and until the task is completed. As a member of the IDA Board, I will continue to bring a open mind and clear vision of the paths to our industries successes. BOARD NOMINEES FOR 2016-2017 Paul Kelly Maxiforce, Doral, Florida I currently live in Doral, Florida. I was born in Miami. From age 8-18, I spent summers camping and studying in Spain. My skill set includes extensive knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics and other programs, fl uency in Spanish and Eng- lish, a background in Spanish history, art and aviation, and a bachelor degree from American University, Washington D.C., with a double major in public communication and law. I am happily married to Patricia, and we have two sons, Sebastian and Cristian Kelley. I have a wonderful sister, Laura. My amazing mother, Eloisa, is married to my stepfather, Santiago Morales, the owner of Maxiforce. My biological father is Dr. John Terence Kelly, Ph.D (hence the "Kelly" in my name). My history in the industry? I have been working full time in the industry for 11 years for Maxiforce, but grew up working in my father's warehouse, since I was 15. I have worked every aspect of our business and have traveled extensively, visiting custom- ers and suppliers and attending trade shows (approximately six to seven per year). Why I want to be on the IDA Board? I want to be on the board to help the IDA grow its membership and infl uence in our industry. I want to be a part of the new generation of IDA leadership, ensuring the organization's growth well into the future. I am sure that if the IDA grows and prospers in these interesting economic times, its members will, as well. I want to participate in making that happen. Far East, Indonesia, Australia Region Don Frost Tilly's Crawler Parts Pty. Ltd. Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia Hi, I'm Don Frost. I grew up in New South Wales, in an area referred to as the New England Tablelands. I am married and have two young adults (not children anymore, so I'm told). My wife, Debbie, and I are devoted to our family and spend as much time together as possible. I began my work life in the agricultural industry with a John Deere dealer in 1979, where I spent the next 22 years. In late 2000, the Frost family moved north to Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, where I joined Tilly's Crawler Parts in 2001. Tilly's is a family-owned-and-operated business, with more than 60 employees who work hard to ensure we deliver on our promise to customers of "The Right Part at The Right Price, Right Now." The strength of our business lies in its people and the people with whom we deal. Tilly's has worked hard to build lifelong relationships with our customers and suppliers and to foster these partnerships. My recent involvement as a director of the IDA has given me the opportunity advance the partnership between supplier–wholesaler/retailer and the end user, working together to achieve results in quality assurance and parts demand. Over the last ten years, in particular, I have been in contact with many suppliers throughout the Far East and Indonesia, promoting the benefi ts of the IDA and what we can do for each other. While the IDA is known to many, there is still promotion to be done, and I look forward to being involved. North American Region
