The two wineries produce premium wines largely from the Yakima Valley and Columbia Valley appellations, located east of Washington's Cascade Range in an arid region known for its agricultural production….Beam Inc. has bought Pinnacle Vodka and Calico Jack rum from White Rock Distilleries for about $600 million, according to news reports. Pinnacle had a stellar year in 2011, growing by 92.9% to sales of 2.7 million 9-liter cases, essentially on the strength of its more than two dozen different flavored vodkas. For its part, the lineup of Jack flavored rums sold 300,000 cases last year….Diageo has acquired Cabin Fever Maple Flavored Whisky, originally launched as a family business, run by the Robillard Family. Diageo views the brand, which has built a loyal following in the Northeast, on the cutting edge of two important trends in the spirits business: flavored whisky and craft distilling. The average retail price for the 80 proof whiskey is $19.99 for a 750 ml bottle; Diageo intends a national rollout of the whiskey this fall…. Morrison Bowmore Distillers (MBD) named Campari America (formerly Skyy Spirits) as the exclusive U.S. importer and distributor for McClelland's Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
