The stainless steel sampler is connected to LDPE tubing, mounted on a conven- ient reel, and pressure activated using a hand pump. The sampler is pressurized before being lowered, and upon re- trieval, to prevent mixing. Pressure is released at the desired depth to obtain a sample. After drilling many dry boreholes, the organization found Ervin Kramer and the AquaLo- cate technology and have increased their success rate to almost 100% and 1.8 million liters of water a day for people in Kenya. With the high cost of drilling new water wells, Mark Purington, executive director of the Eleos Project, says don't drill until you use this equipment or have a groundwater survey performed by a qualified operator.
