Networking News The Attic Angel Association has announced new members to its board of directors. Dale Wortley has been elected chair and Karen Perzentka has become vice-chair as well as secretary of Attic Angel Place. Stafford Rosenbaum Attorneys has announced that Attorney Elisabeth Shea has been elected to serve as president-elect of the Dane County Bar Association while Laura Skilton Verhoff was selected to the State Bar of Wisconsin Board of Governors. BrightStar Care of Madison, owned by Susan Rather and Jeff Tews, received two awards at the company's annual Branch Leadership Conference. The team received the "Clinical Excellence Award" and an "Operations Excellence Award" for excel- lence in bank office operations. C. Blohm & Associates, a local public relations firm for the education industry, recently announced two promotions. Emily Embury is now senior account executive and Martha Jacobs has been promoted to administrative and project coordinator. The Wisconsin Association of Family and Consumer Sciences has awarded two Madison education professionals with statewide awards. Janet M. Powell, (above left) an education leader and former teacher, received the "2012 WAFCS Leader Award" while Tiffani Roltgen, (above right) the former communications director and now executive director of WAFCS, accepted the "2012 WAFCS New Achiever Award." Attic Angel Association Donations Target Future Generations In an effort to help prepare low-income children for school, the Attic Angel Associa- tion recently donated $13,000 to the Literacy Network's Kindergarten Readiness program. To date, Attic Angel, a 123-year-old nonprofit organization, has donated more than $5.75 million to community outreach programs serving children and elderly in Dane County. Local women and businesses on the move Darcey Nett has opened Always Best Care Senior Services in Madison, which provides senior assisted living services and care.
