14 November/December 2016 Landscape and Irrigation www.landscapeirrigation.com POST-SHOW RECAP Hustler Turf enters UTV market with patented technology Hustler Turf introduced the MDV (Maximum Duty Vehicle). The tough, precision-built utility vehicle is the latest innovation from Hustler and combines the industry's most popular features with patented Levelift bed technology. Flip a switch and the Levelift brings the cargo box up, back, and down, en- abling the user to load at ground level or at any point along the mechanism's arc of motion. Once loaded, the Levelift brings the cargo box back up and into position on the MDV. With minimum time and effort, the cargo is loaded and on its way. Levelift bed technology also enables loads to be dumped at any height or dis- tance along its arc of motion, providing users with more options for how and where the cargo is unloaded. "The MDV is truly in a class of its own, creating the maximum-duty category," said Adam Mullet, vice president of sales and marketing, USA. "It blends rugged durability with automotive fit and finish in a beautiful way. With Levelift technol- ogy, we are offering customers more than a way to go from A to B. We are offer- ing a tool that actually gets work done. It has the ability to reduce a two-man job down to one, or minimize back stress since operators no longer need to lift. It's amazing what the MDV can accomplish." The Hustler MDV is available in a standard bed model or with Levelift. The all- wheel drive MDV runs at a top speed of 37 mph, and comes with a wide range of options and accessories available. iQ Power Tools introduces dry-cut power cutters with integrated dust collection iQ Power Tools presented the first dry-cut power cutter designed for the concrete and masonry industry. The iQPC912v and the iQPC912sk Paver Skate are dry-cut power cutters with integrated dust control, allowing the capture of up to 90 percent of the dust right at the source making for a cleaner, safer and more efficient job site. Both saws eliminate dust and slurry, saving time and money. Designed and built in the USA, the OSHA-compliant iQPC912v and iQPC912sk Paver Skate feature a 93cc gas-powered, 6-hp., 2-stroke motor. The iQPC912v power cutter weighs only 31 pounds and the Paver Skate weighs 34 pounds, making them ergonomically balanced in design. The powerful vacuum sucks the dust through the retractable blade guard. Using the iQ Quick-Spin filtration system, the dust is captured in the cartridge filter and then self-contained in the lower chamber for easy disposal. This dust containment has a capacity of up to 5 pounds. Both power cutters come equipped with a 12-inch premium diamond blade. New John Deere skid-steer loaders and compact track loaders The new John Deere large-frame G-Series skid-steers (330G, 332G) and compact track loaders (331G, 333G) were inspired by extensive feedback from John Deere customers looking for more productivity, better visibility and simplified service to remain competitive in their businesses. John Deere not only answered by improving in these areas, but also added a host of new features to make the large-frame G-Series machines easier to run and maintain on jobs of every scale. The biggest improvement on the large-frame G-Series is the refined vertical- lift loader boom design that rises higher, reaches farther and lifts more for quicker and easier loading. Height to hinge pin is 11 feet, enabling operators to easily load dump trucks, feed mixers, fill hoppers and everything in between. Customers will also appreciate the new lift path that extends an additional six inches from the machine. The large frames also serve up substantially greater boom and bucket breakout forces. In fact, they have horsepower that is comparable to a small backhoe or crawler, and they also work comfortably in tight quarters, so operators can accomplish more with less machine. Increased rated operating capacities of up to 3,700 lbs. give these models the muscle needed to master heavy loads, coupled with a breakout force that has been increased by 40 percent to make lifting heavy loads easier. John Deere also introduced four Final Tier 4 G-Series skid-steers (312GR, 314G, 316GR, 318G) and one compact track loader (317G). The five models, including three vertical and two radial-lift options, boast big reliability and serviceability, and are full of customer-requested features aimed at improving operator and machine productivity, and uptime, and lowering daily operating costs. The G-Series machines feature an improvement in horsepower-to-weight ratios and an optimized boom design that enables lift heights over 10 feet on the vertical lift models and a 20 percent increase in breakout forces on the radial-lift models. Kawasaki broadens new EFI system availability Kawasaki's new FX850V-EFI engine is the latest member of its growing family of engines utilizing the most technologically advanced EFI system ever built by the company. It incorporates a fully integrated electronic governor (e-Gov) and an advanced ECU that instantly matches power to cutting load and ground speed. These new features will allow professional landscapers to mow lawns more efficiently with Kawasaki performance and reliability they have come to expect. Developed specifically with the commercial market in mind, the all-new Kawasaki EFI system is available on select models of FX Series and FS Series engines, with plans to incorporate it in additional models. The FX850V-EFI joins two other units that currently employ the user-friendly EFI system: FX730V-EFI, and FS730V-EFI. Commercial usage has demanding needs, and this system responds with features focused on those needs. Helping to avoid typical hillside mowing slowdowns, the load-matching e-Gov system keeps drive wheels and cutting blades working at peak productivity. The elimination of power loss through the entire load range lets operators move quickly through almost any turf conditions. Kawasaki's legendary cutting power allows users to cover wider areas at a faster pace, serving up uniform results. Designed to provide the utmost in support to professional landscapers, these powerplants — ranging from 25.5 hp. to the 29.5-hp. output in the new FX850V- EFI — are feature-laden entries in Kawasaki's family of engines.
