A simple starting procedure also helps pros get to work fast. Toro introduces 28-inch hydro drive brush cutter; new GrandStand Multi Force model dedicated for snow removal Toro introduced the all-new 28-inch hydro drive brush cutter. Outstanding durability is a key feature of this new walk-behind model. The commercial-grade, self-propelled brush cutter is versatile and easy to use and can handle many applications as well as operators of varying skill levels. Its durable components and superior engineering allow operators to level brush, tall weeds, saplings, small trees and heavy vegetation with ease. The Toro hydro drive brush cutter can handle nearly any brush up to six feet tall and most saplings up to two inches in diameter. Featuring a pivoting deck, the hydro drive brush cutter delivers a 3-¾-inch height-of-cut. A two-step blade engagement coupled with a parking brake, ensures the 28-inch hydro drive brush cutter is as safe as it is dependable. Additionally, the operator can maneuver this powerful machine in both forward and reverse with one hand. Incredibly stable, the standard 6-inch, two-ply, sealant-filled, aggressive-tread tires provide effective traction for brush removal projects on slopes or in ditches and culverts. The new unit also features a high-strength steel deck with large-diameter pulleys that optimize the longevity of the belts. The brush cutter will begin shipping in early 2017. Toro also launched a GrandStand Multi Force model dedicated for snow removal. The snow-only model is designed to give snow-focused contractors access to the superior snow-clearing capabilities of the Multi Force without having to purchase the mowing deck. The snow-only model is built on the same GrandStand Multi Force platform and features the same easy-to-use controls as current GrandStand Multi Force models. The unit comes equipped with the Flex-Ride operator platform designed to reduce operator fatigue and contributes to higher productivity throughout the day. The snow-only model can be equipped with a five-foot BOSS snowplow attachment. Snow-only models also come standard with winter tires and have optional light and flasher kits to increase visibility in challenging conditions. Wright introduces Sport I At GIE+EXPO Wright Manufacturing introduced a new 36-inch Sport Intensity (Sport I) mower at GIE+EXPO. Based on the popular Stander I, the new, compact mower combines all the features that make the Stander the industry's leading stand-on mower with the choice of stand-on or sit down operation. The Sport I's foldaway seat is positioned so the operator can step off for quick exits or to remove debris, and the mower stops immediately. An operator presence switch on the foot platform stops the blade and engine, and the control levers return to the neutral position when the operator lets go. All three engines —18.5, 19 and 22 hp. — deliver a top speed of 8.2 mph, and the Sport I is covered by Wright's two-year limited warranty. Wright's floating Aero-Core deck on the Sport I tilts side-to-side and front- to-back, allowing the mower deck to better follow the terrain contours. It also improves the weight distribution for better handling on hills. The deck height can be adjusted on the fly in quarter-inch increments, and anti-scalp rollers automatically adjust the deck height to changes in terrain. Operators will appreciate the Aero-Core's improved airflow, cut quality and anti-blow out features. Elastopolymer bumpers provide a dampened feel similar to a car. The bumpers are progressive to accommodate the weight of various operators. Recessed caster wheels reduce the turning radius. This feature, combined with the compact footprint and outstanding control and handling, allows operators to trim as they mow. The compact size also means more mowers will fit on a trailer.
