8 November/December 2016 Landscape and Irrigation www.landscapeirrigation.com POST-SHOW RECAP Altoz introduces the TRX tracked zero-turn mower, and three limited-edition zero-turns Altoz introduced the all-new TRX for 2017 — the industry's first tracked zero-turn mower. TRX provides first-of- its-kind, patent-pending technology for commercial use on sloped, wet and rough terrain. Equipped with rear-mounted tracks and torsional suspension system, the TRX allows lawn care professionals, utility companies and municipalities to maintain places they simply can't effectively or safely cut with a traditional zero-turn mower. The TRX is already turning heads in the outdoor power equipment industry, recently receiving a 2016 Pro Tool Innovation Award, which recognizes best-in- class products for their level of innovation, power and value. "We think the TRX is truly an unprecedented product for the power equipment industry," said Dennis Brazier, Altoz CEO/founder. "The TRX's unique combination of traction, stability and low ground pressure with durability, power and handling will make it a valuable asset for municipalities, utility companies, lawn professionals, golf courses and general contractors concerned about safety while tackling a wide range of conditions and terrain." The stability and traction of the TRX enables operators to safely maneuver inclines, side hills, ditches, varying terrain and wet conditions with agility and comfort. And thanks to its low ground pressure and high traction, the TRX reduces compaction and minimizes ground disturbance while maintaining superior traction. TRX's commercial-grade track and flat-free front tires eliminate potential tire damage caused by sharp rocks, glass or debris commonly encountered in vacant lots, roadside ditches and spaces bordering high-traffic areas. The TRX will include the option of 61-inch or 66-inch finish cut or rough cut mower decks, Kohler Command Pro EFI 33-hp. or Vanguard EFI 37-hp. engines. The TRX will ship to Altoz dealers early spring of 2017. Altoz also introduced three limited edition zero-turn mowers. All three models — XR SS, XE SS and XE HD SS — will feature an exclusive A-arm independent front suspension with adjustable coil springs over gas shocks, and the exclusive fabricated steel Aero Deck with anti-scalp wheels and fully adjustable baffles. Operators can adjust the front suspension for varying conditions, creating the best possible ride. The SS models will also feature a custom paint scheme and bold graphics package that stand out as "high performance."
