Eli Van Etten, Van Etten Oil f MID:COM HIRES JEFF CHRISTIANSEN AS IT ADMINISTRATOR/ENGINEER Midwest Computer Register (MID:COM) has hired Jeff Christiansen as its IT Administrator/Engineer. Christiansen gradu- ated from the University of Iowa with a B.S. in electrical engineering. Christiansen most recently owned Advanced Tech Solutions, an IT company based in Hampton, IA. In his new role, Christiansen will be responsible for the day-to-day IT duties of the company as well as product and service development. MID:COM is a manufacturer of electronic meter registers, on-board computers and acces- sories for all types of flow meters. MID:COM systems are typically used with positive displacement, mass flow and turbine meters. RALPH AMADEO RETIRES FROM POWDERHORN AGENCY Ralph Amadeo retired on Feb. 1 from the Powderhorn Agency in Brookfield, Conn., the agency announced. He started his career in the oil industry over 40 years ago, washing trucks as a teenager for a large heating oil provider in New Jersey. Over the years he worked his way up the ladder to operations manager, which included incorporating the Powderhorn Agency's ProGuard Program into that company.
