Product Manual
to include revised
ASTM specification
COLUMBIA, Md. – The Chain
Link Fence Manufacturers Institute
(CLFMI) has published the latest
update of its widely used technical
guide, the CLFMI Product Manual.
The 2017
edition has been
updated to in-
clude the revised
ASTM F1043-
17 Standard
S p e c i f i c a t i o n
for Strength and
Protective Coat-
ings on Steel Industrial Fence Frame-
work. The revision reflects a new table
for the selection of posts.
In brief, F1043-17 covers the
strength and protective coating re-
quirements for industrial steel chain
link fence framework. It details max-
imum allowable heights of framework
and post spacing based on chain link
fence fabric mesh size and gages, and
specified wind loads.
