McCarty as director of operations. The Cable Connection produces the Ultra-tec ® line of stainless steel tensioning and mounting hardware designed especially for cable railings. Prior to joining The Cable Con- nection, McCarty worked 18 years at Caterpillar Inc., serving in many po- sitions within human resources and operations. In the last six years, he served as facility manager in Mississippi and New Mexico, where he led critical en- terprise new product introduction pro- grams while instilling an operational excellence culture throughout the or- ganization and value chain. McCarty's greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership, the company stated. "He thrives on challenges, partic- ularly those that expand the compa- ny's reach. His passion is developing high performing teams based on lean principles in a transparent, integri- ty-based culture. "This requires developing leaders and cross functional teams to under- stand the importance of following dis- ciplined processes in the area of peo- ple, quality, continuous improvement and the key operation principles," ac- cording to the firm. Over the past 18 years, he has held HR and operation leadership roles with brownfield (previously developed property) turnarounds and multiple greenfield (undeveloped property) start-ups. His hands-on approach in devel- oping leaders and teams, and creating a cohesive work environment while developing operating philosophies for the manufacturing, engineering, sup- ply chain, quality, finance, and oper- ations organizations, has led to long term sustained results.
