BluePass reduces total cost of ownership by protecting the cus- tomer's existing system controller and software investments and enables a smooth migration from leg- acy credentials using both the multi-tech readers and a cloud-based credential issuance and management portal, said LaFond. Additional credentials can be easily procured, even in small quantities, with channel-friendly cre- dential bundles. For multi-dwelling buildings and gated communities, Nortek Security & Control also announced the e3 Tele Entry access control system. Designed for a new generation of users, the Tele Entry system sim- plifies the user experience and speeds up the process of locating and con- tacting residents with an intuitive 4.3" color screen interface that minimizes click-thru steps via visual navigation prompts and voice guidance. The e3 Tele Entry system is easy to manage via the browser-based Re- mote Management Console that is shared across all three of the Linear e3 access control family members. Additionally, the e3 Tele Entry of- fers an optional ArmorTech ™ housing that stands up to the elements. "Our vision is to make security systems easier to install and use," said LaFond. "BluePass addresses the top priorities for businesses looking to update their physical access control systems. Similarly, the e3 Tele Entry user experience has been streamlined making it more like using a smart- phone.
