Networking News Concordia University Wiscon- sin recently announced that Amanda Newman (left) has been hired as the school's athletic bands coordinator and music recruiter. Newman is a 2006 graduate of CUW with a degree in K-12 music education. The law firm Foley & Lardner announced that 215 of its lawyers have been recognized in the 2013 "The Best Lawyers in America" guide. Among those recognized were two Madison lawyers from the firm: Anne E. Ross, who practices corporate, insurance and mergers and acquisitions law, and Anita M. Sorensen, an immigration lawyer. Bliss Flow Yoga and Wellness has named Jennifer Braun as its new executive director. Braun has 14 years of marketing experience and also teaches social media marketing at Edgewood College. Local women and businesses on the move Susan Goldsworthy recently joined the team at M3 Insurance as the company's controller. In this role, Goldsworthy will lead all financial reporting and accounting functions for the agency's five Wisconsin offices. The Urban League of Greater Madison has welcomed Marivic Valencia, owner of ValenciaPR, to their board of directors. Valencia also currently serves as the president of ULGM's Young Profes- sional Leadership Team. Patina Solutions, a profes- sional services firm, recently appointed Jane Carroll (left) as the managing director of its newly opened Madison office. Carroll is a business development leader with more than 20 years of experience selling professional services to several different business sectors. The number of years Kathleen Woit has served as president of the Madison Commu- nity Foundation, which encourages, facilitates and manages long-term philanthropy efforts of numerous community organizations.
