Multiple options, versatility ROLLOUTS The hauler chassis from Volvo Construction Equipment can be fitted with a wide range of superstructures, providing an endless range of applications. The hauler chassis is a modular concept whereby customers can order a standard articulated hauler, supplied without load body or hoist cylinders. Customers can then modify these base machines to suit the specific transport solution required. A bolt-on frame extension is available for the A25F and A30F machines for added flex- ibility. The extensions are offered in two lengths — 47 inch and 67 inch — to support longer or larger volumes. Write 58 on reader card. Increased production capability In response to requests from operators, Hitachi added a number of improvements to its EX5600-6 ultra-large hydraulic excavator. The machine is heavier, with more engine horsepower, and the loader bucket capacity has been in- creased from 35.5 cubic yards to 38 cubic yards. The BE-backhoe version capacity has been increased from 38 cubic yards to 44.5 cubic yards, and the reach of the backhoe front attachment has been short- ened. Hydraulic pump output has been increased by 10 percent with- out degrading conventional cycle-time performance, resulting in a higher flow rate at the same pressure. Abrasion-resistant blade Flexco says its new MHP Precleaner, recently added to its line of heavy-duty belt cleaners, features the largest, most abrasion-resistant urethane blade offered by the company. Multiple material path options and extended pole lengths ensure the cleaner fits each application perfectly. The large blade provides an extended life so the cleaner can run longer and more efficiently. A faceted profile design with continuous blade- edge renewal improves cleaning efficiency throughout the life of the blade. The molded-in wear line on the MegaShear blades makes routine visual maintenance checks easy. The three-piece pole design provides additional strength. New choice in ticket printing Rice Lake says its new TicketPress offers a new choice in scale ticket printing. Its sleek, contemporary layout fea- tures a straightforward operator keypad and display. The unit gathers data from weight indicators, PCs, and more for on-command, formatable, dot-matrix printing of up to five-part, multi-copy forms. It is designed to integrate with old and new scale applications with features such as battery-backed time and date, sequential ticket number- ing, automatic media thickness adjustment, and a quick- change ink cartridge. Automatic initial priming/ re-priming Thompson Pump and Manufacturing Co., Inc. says its new 6-inch, portable, high-head 6JCC pump delivers 1,100 gallons-per-minute high heads to 490 feet and 212 pounds per square inch. The pump offers the company's exclu- sive Enviroprime System, which provides reliable, automatic initial priming and re-priming with the environmental advantage of not spilling pump fluids during operation.
