NewRoadProducts DYNAPAC Minimizes milling accumulation Dynapac PL500T and PL500TD 20-inch compact cold planers are available as three- or four-wheeled units. They feature a maximum cutting depth of 6.3 inches for the PL500T and 7.9 inches for the PL500TD. Each model is powered by a step-3 com- pliant Cummins QSB 4.5 C110/C130 diesel engine. Special drums for demarcation work and fine-spaced cutting-drums are designed to be easy and quick to change. Smaller drums with an adapted scraper blade and a side-cutting wheel are available as options on both models. Dynapac's patented hydrau- lically-operated front sealing of the cutter housing, adapted to the shape of the cutting drum, is designed to minimize the accumulation of milled material. The compressor is powered by a 200-horsepower John Deere six-cylinder diesel engine. The electronically-controlled, water-cooled engine consumes 8.2 gallons of fuel per hour at 100-percent load. Write 35 on reader card GENIE Rough-terrain electric scissors Genie is introducing a new electric scissor lift series – the GS- 2669 DC, GS-3369 DC and GS-4069 DC. The GS-4069 DC is the world's first 40-foot full drive-height electric scissor lift in its class, according to Genie. The GS-2669 DC and the GS-3369 DC also offer a full-drive height feature. Electric-drive motors provide emissions-free performance in enclosed buildings. All three scis- sor lifts are capable of driving through dirt, sand and mud. Non- marking rough-terrain tires are standard, with turf tires optional. A standard front active oscillating axle helps keep all four wheels on the ground during operation. The patented full-time oscillating axle automatically senses the terrain and adjusts the axle posi- tion based on ground conditions, regardless of the scissor's posi- tion. Stowed drive speed is recorded at 4.5 mph, a 50-percent increase over the previous DC models and 30 percent over the IC rough terrain models. On ANSI models, the new scissor lifts provide an increased platform work space of 13 percent. Lifting capacity remains at 1,500 pounds on the GS-2669 DC, 1,000 pounds on the GS-3369 DC and 800 pounds on the GS-4069 DC. Write 36 on reader card ATLAS COPCO Generator for extreme weather Atlas Copco's QAS 150 portable generator is designed for extreme weather conditions. Enclosed in a zincor-coated steel canopy and skid-mounted on a standard, sealed, spillage-free frame, the genera- tor features a six-cylinder John Deere Tier 4a diesel engine with 169 horsepower at 1,800 rpm. The generator offers 125 kW / 155 kVA of rated standby power and 112 kW / 140 kVA of rated prime power. The unit's sound pressure level at 23 feet at 75-percent load is rated at 71 db (A). The skid-mounted version measures 133 inches long, 76 inches high, 47 inches wide and weighs 7,484 pounds. The trailer style measures 191 inches long, 92 inches high, 84 inches wide and weighs 8,541 pounds. Write 37 on reader card 41a January 2012 Better Roads
