The show brings in the best-looking trucks the country has to offer and pits them against one another in a contest of custom touches and cleanliness. The show is presented by Overdrive and Custom Rigs magazines. Like last year's event, there's much at stake, as the contest's four Best of Show winners will be invited to Dallas in August to compete in the second annual Pride & Polish National Championship held at the Great American Trucking Show. In last year's GWTS competition, Scott Diller and his 1981 Kenworth W900A won its second Pride & Polish Best of Show in a O Ryan Hooten's 1995 Peterbilt 379 won fi rst in Interior: OEM Sleeper and second in Working Combo: 2000 & Older in the 2011 GWTS show. He uses the truck to haul hay and grain for his Santa Ynez, Calif.-based Ryan's Feed and Trucking. row in the Limited Mileage Bobtail category. Jerry Kissinger's 1991 Mack Superliner and '06 Great Dane refrigerated trailer won Best of Show, Working Combo, and Yamko Truck Lines' '09 Peterbilt 389 won Best of Show, Working Bobtail. Isaac Aguilar of Sandvik Trucking won Best of Show in Limited Mileage Bobtail. Bill Sandvik, the company's owner, won the inau- gural Pride & Polish National Championship in the Working Bobtail category with his 2005 Peterbilt 379. The competitors spend weeks preparing their trucks and give them one last deep clean and polish on the show fl oor. They're on display in Halls B and C, and the awards ceremony – also open to all show visitors – will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Friday seminar offers sound business advice Owner-operators need not miss Overdrive's Partners in Business seminar.
