Visit The World Fence News Crew At Booth No. 2407! Fence Show October 5-6, 2012 at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks (Reno), Nev. The chapters also used the op- portunity to hold their third quarter meetings. Following the meetings, which took place before the show opened, Phil Vermeulen addressed the mem- bers of all three chapters on current legislative issues and developments. On Friday, the California Chapter sponsored a golf tournament which was held at the Wild Creek Golf Course in Sparks. Some eighty-six golfers turned out to play. They competed for $1,900 in cash prizes as well as Blue Ray DVD play- ers, digital cameras, and GPS systems. A putting contest took place at 7:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m. "None of this could be made pos- sible without the generosity of the members who attended and played in the golf tournament," said California Chapter executive secretary Priscilla Lavoie. "And a very special thanks goes out to the hole sponsors for their generosity." Sponsors included Builders Fence, ci-Fabrics, Master Halco, Merchants Metals, RG Business Insurance, Swan Fence, Bailey Fence, FenceCorp, DAC Industries, Gates and Controls, South- western Wire, Electronic Entry Dis- tributors, Encon, BD Loops, and Security Contractor Services, Inc. She noted that JT Lawson of ci- Fabrics deserves credit for organizing the golf tournament, assisted by Ed Lavoie of Merchants Metals. Priscilla said that a list of the win- ners along with the golf tournament narrative can be found in the "Golf Corner" section of its web site, www.californiachapterafa.com.
