Silvia Karman Cubiñá is the executive director and chief curator of the Bass Museum of Art. She has lectured extensively and participated in numerous grant panels and award selection committees, including serving as a juror for the Guggenheim Museum's Hugo Boss Prize. She currently serves on the Knight Foundation National Arts Advisory Board as well as the Board of Directors of the American Association of Art Museum Directors. "I cannot wait to see Ugo Rondinone's sculpture 'I feel, you feel, we feel through each other into our selves' in ArtPublic at Collins Park. The work is magical and the setting is absolutely magnificent." 42 CULTURED New York-based writer Bee-Shyuan Chang has contributed to The New York Times, Harper's Bazaar, W and Fast Company. Once a hedge-fund lawyer, Chang is now much happier treading the exciting waters of fashion, beauty and travel. She lives with her husband in the West Village. "Of course Art Basel and Design Miami/ are about the art, but for New Yorkers the December timing has also turned the week into a pre-resort-season vacation of sorts. After I thaw out (and see some art) it's time for some parties. Visionaire always tops my list." It's scarcely a party without the presence of the Billy Farrell Agency. The New York-based photography agency, founded in 2010 by partners Billy Farrell, David X. Prutting, Neil Rasmus and Joe Schildhorn, will be in full force this week, so keep an eye out for one of its camera-wielding sharp shooters. "A day off in the Wynwood Arts District." Douglas Friedman was born and raised in New York City and now divides his time between his hometown and Los Angeles. He shoots portraits, interiors and fashion for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue Italia, InStyle and The New York Times. Friedman has shot this magazine's last three covers. "I'm afraid that my most memorable Art Basel experience wasn't about the art—or even the parties. I locked myself in my hotel room, nursed my cold and caught up on my serials."
