44 | Overdrive | May 2018 Custom Rigs Retooled Coronado a rat-packer THE 2004 CORONADO owned by George and Wendy Parker, formerly dubbed "The Precious," is now the show truck for the ToughTested line of products. As part of its display at truck shows, the Freightliner will tote "PupZilla," a mini- rat rod that will sit on a rack over its tandems. "PupZilla" was built by Charlie Pacheco. The cowling and running boards are from a 1926 International pickup. The truck is powered by a 200cc Honda engine, and its rear box is from a 1932 Ford pickup. Its name is cut into the rear bumper. A recent makeover of the Coronado included a 30-inch stretch to a 300-inch wheelbase by 4 State Trucks in Joplin, Missouri, a vinyl tank and side-box wrap, and added striping to accentuate the flame graphics. A rear T-bar, a custom-built headache rack and new diamond-plate decking are among the adds/ customizations. To accommodate "PupZilla," the rig doesn't have a fifth wheel.
