Qualified over-the-road driv- ers with at least one year of experience and a hazmat endorsement now earn at least 41 cents per mile, and driv- ers with at least five years of experience and hazmat earn at least 45 cents. Dallas-based FFE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES announced a cents-per-mile and stop-rate increase for all independent contractors. The refrigerated hauler also increased hourly, cents-per- mile and stop pay for all local, regional and linehaul company drivers. Montgomery, Alabama- based MONTGOMERY TRANSPORT increased pay for current drivers by 1 cent per mile. New drivers in the flatbed company's Road to Success program now can earn up to $10,000 in incentive pay, up from $8,500, for orientation, time on the job, years of expe- rience and safe driving. South Sioux City, Nebraska- based K&B TRANSPORTATION raised its starting wage for new over-the-road company drivers in its Midwest and National fleets to 50 cents per mile, with experienced drivers earning as much as 54 cents. New hires are guaranteed $1,250 and 2,500 miles weekly. Monroeville, Alabama-based flatbed hauler HORNADY TRANSPORTATION announced a guaranteed weekly gross minimum pay program for linehaul drivers that is determined by their pay bracket. Drivers who earn 46 to 50 cents per mile are guar- anteed $1,000 per week; those who earn 52 and 53 cents are guaranteed $1,100; and drivers earning 54 to 56 cents are guaranteed $1,200. Golden Valley, Minnesota-based Hornady drivers also are guaranteed pay increases as the company's mileage pay increases.
