July 2008 Here are some articles and issues that were being covered in the July 2008 issue of World Fence News, 10 years ago this month. • The cover for July showed a cus- tom automated gate system that pro- vided security for an "Extreme Make- over: Home Edition" project at the Martinez family home. Aaron Dixon and the crew at Gate-It Access Sys- tems of Albuquerque fabricated and installed sleek slide gate and metal doors which lead into the courtyard, providing sorely-needed security. The Martinez family had moved to Albu- querque so that Gerald Martinez, lead pastor of Joshua's Vineyard Mission Outpost of Albquerque, could help the troubled communities that surround- ed the church. Martinez wanted a safe and secure place for his family. His family was chosen for the show be- cause of their economic need and their commitment to community service to help others. The gate is powered by DoorKing's Model 9100 residential/ commercial slide gate operator. The gate is shown as it appeared for the television camera crews. Gate-It Ac- cess Systems photos.
