February 2003 Here are some articles and items that were being covered in the February 2003 issue of World Fence News, 10 years ago this month. • The cover story for February was about an Arizona fence company job in the Arizona desert. Crews from Orta Fence Co. of Tuscon completed a major chain link job ahead of schedule, despite temperatures which rose above 100 degrees, the threat of monsoon thunderstorms, rough terrain and even a few rattlesnakes thrown in for good measure. The job consisted of installing 14.2 miles of 6-foot chain link perimeter fence with top rail and three strands of barbed wire at an old copper mine in San Manuel, Ariz. which was being shut down. for any door or gate application. It can print off a diagram that can be used for quoting systems or given to installation crews. On March 21, 2013, BD Loops will participate in the annual East Coast Gate Operators, Inc. tabletop event. There will be a BD Loops sponsored continental breakfast served with the BD Loops seminar and a free lunch for those who attend the tabletop. Table top display will also include a demonstration on how the loops work and their various functions. The ECGOI event will be Thursday, March 21 at the company headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.
