New & Improved New SANY SRC885 Rough-Terrain Crane Delivers Lifting Power, Maneuverability Many operator comforts include spacious, ergonomic cab, and noise suppressing insulation. With a rated lifting capacity of 85 U.S. tons, the new SANY SRC885 rough-terrain crane delivers lifting power, maneuverability, pick-and-carry capability and operating stability. Available for virtually any jobsite regardless of terrain, the new model combines ease of operation and maintenance, and attention to operator comfort and convenience. With reach of up to 209.7 feet through a five-section, full-power boom, the unit can achieve a rated 85-ton lifting capacity at a 10-foot radius. Overall weight is 115,880 pounds. Designed to be easily transported and maneuverable, the SRC885 has 4x4 hydraulic powered steering and earthmoverstyle tires. The crane features three-position outriggers that level it with up to 12.4 inches of ground penetration and maximum horizontal extension of 24 feet to provide stability in adverse ground conditions. Powered by a 275-hp Cummins Tier-4 Interim engine that integrates with the hydraulic system for precision control and multifunction load sharing, the machine has hydraulic joysticks to provide smooth, variable control of crane functions, and a two-speed swing system rotates 360 degrees in either direction. Standard operator comfort features built into the SRC885 include a spacious, ergonomic cab with all-steel construction, hydraulic joystick controls and optimum visibility; tinted safety glass, an opening skylight with visor and wiper system; sliding door on the left side of the cab and framed sliding window on the right side. Also included are acoustic foam for noise suppression and insulation, heat and air conditioning, and a six-way adjustable seat with mechanical suspension, armrests and a headrest. An in-cab monitor prominently displays the machine's operations and provides full-machine diagnostic capabilities, enabling operators and maintenance personnel to perform onboard system checks. Other key specifications and dimensions include the main boom, which telescopes from 38.7 to 147.6 feet, boom extension that ranges from 30.2 to 52.5 feet, and maximum hoist line pull of 20,559 pounds with 841 feet of ¾-inch diameter line. The SRC885 is 46 feet 11 inches long, 11 feet wide and 12 feet 6.5 inches tall, with tail swing of 14 feet 11 inches and total counterweight at 28,660 pounds. The SRC885 includes globally sourced components that include a Cummins engine, Braden winches and hoists, Dana transmission and Parker hydraulics. The EX55 is equipped with a drill rod holder, steel/plywood lined locking boxes, and fold-down bed rails mounted on a half-inch steel platform to carry all necessary drilling essentials. The company says this eliminates the need for heavy support equipment to haul supplies into drill sites. The unit can haul supplies and sensitive materials needed in seismic drilling work and is outfitted especially for the application. To enhance the efficiency of seismic drilling operations, its size and ground speed are matched to the drills. The EX55's base carrier can also be used as a universal platform for many configurations including a dump body, flatbed, spraying equipment or firefighting carrier. A paired match, the EX300S and EX55 offer ease of operation, maneuverability and minimal disturbance to drill sites.
