EQUIPMENT FOCUS Aerial Lifts All Access Equipment Crawler 78 with wireless remote control Avoid climbing trees, work faster and safer, and earn more money with the Crawler 78 from All Access Equipment. Capable of fitting through a 36-inch gate or doorway, the Crawler 78 uses high-quality hydraulics and simple pistol-gripstyle joysticks to reach 80 feet in the air and 44 feet to the side in difficult-to-access locations, such as backyards. The new wireless remote control can be used to drive, set up and fly the Crawler 78. It is very simple with only two joysticks, and makes setup faster and safer. There is an additional wired control station in the basket for redundancy. Crawler lifts are lightweight-yet-heavy-duty tracked aerial lifts for tree care. Altec's LR7 Series Altec Industries, Inc., continues to improve tree care aerials to meet customer and industry demands. The new LR7 Series offers reliability and productivity to get your best job done. Improved boom speed, better articulation, and an increased platform capacity make the LR7 top of its class. The LR756 is an articulating overcenter aerial device with insulating lower and upper booms to easily reach difficult areas and tackle even the toughest tree care application. The aerial device features fewer grease outlets and a maintenance-free elbow, resulting in a significant cost savings. Working height to 61.3 feet. Working side reach to 41.6 feet. 400-pound platform capacity. 125-degree lower boom articulation. JLG X550AJ compact crawler boom lift The X550AJ compact crawler boom's design includes a tracked wheel carriage that is more capable of climbing steps; and is narrow enough to provide access through gates and standard doorways. Due to its low gross vehicle weight and non-marking tracks, the X550AJ can be set up on sensitive flooring and landscaping. The boom lift has a 55-foot platform height and 21-foot horizontal reach, is highly maneuverable, and fits on a trailer or tilt-back truck for increased ease of transport. In addition, the X550AJ is environmentally friendly with an optional lithium-ion battery for cleaner operation. The dual power onboard — gas, diesel or electric engines accompanied by an electric AC motor — is standard. ReachMaster Bluelift 72 ReachMaster's Bluelift 72 is ideal for the tree care industry in many ways. The Bluelift 72 (B72) has a working height of 72 feet, and a maximum outreach of 36 feet. Its most distinctive features include: 360-degree rotation of the turret regardless of outrigger setting; track based for a lighter footprint for traveling; compact enough to get through most backyard access gates; Light weight (6,600 pounds) to protect landscaping; lithium battery/gas engine hybrid; telescoping cables and hydraulic cylinder on main boom protected from falling material; and two fuel options (gas or diesel). Terex offers new weight-reduced hydraulic lift option Terex Utilities announced two new weight-reduced hydraulic lift options for Terex Hi-Ranger aerial devices. Compared to traditional lifts, these lifts are engineered with higher-strength, lower-weight materials. This option provides faster operating speeds for quick cycle times, and reduces fuel consumption for project cost savings. New for the tree-trimming market, Terex offers a transverse-mounted hydraulic lift for XT Series overcenter aerial devices. This 10-foot lift is weight reduced to be used on a 12,000-pound front axle chassis, and is an available option on Terex XT55, XT60, XT55/65 and XT60/70 models. Teupen LEO 25T Plus Complementing Teupen's 50- to 75-foot lifts, Teupen recently introduced the LEO 25T Plus with 82-foot working height and up to 50-foot side reach. The new LEO 25T Plus features height- and width-adjustable tracks, multiposition/multi-level automatic outrigger system, and a rotatable basket. With the introduction of the next generation of the control system "Fuzzy IV," Teupen was also able to include an interactive information display in the basket, as well as a "coming home" function that automatically guides the boom back into transport position. The LEO 25T Plus offers great versatility to tree care companies. 6 Arbor Age / September 2013 www.arborage.com
