Photos. Landscaping is a visual art. People need to see your work to trust it. Who would hire any kind of artist with stock photos on their website? Use your own pictures, and make them as appealing as you can afford to. None of these suggestions is a "silver bullet" that will deliver hundreds of clients. Taken as a whole, however, they can have a real impact on your business. Trust will keep people from immediately leaving your website (never to return). Trust will move them to fill out a contact form, pick up the phone, send an email or follow you on your social media pages. If your site is truly effective at building trust, you will find that many clients aren't even getting multiple bids. The trust your website engenders will not sell a job for you. Integrate as many badges as you honestly can – they are a powerful trust signal. Tone. Your text should be natural and warm. Focus on conveying the benefits of your service, not the technical details. Imagine you are explaining your business to your grandmother. She doesn't care what type of mower you use. In fact, no one does. People want to be assured you listen, can solve their problems and are enjoyable to work with. The tone of your content can be the key to convincing them. About You. This is the second most important page on your website. People expect you to have one and will look for it, so make it easy to find. Do not focus on what your company does or how you do it, but who your company is and why you do what you do. Put a face on your company, literally. Include a picture and profile of yourself and other core team members. If you have an effective "About" page, and a visitor views it, they are likely to trust you enough to convert.
