people visited the Showcase Home during the
two weekends that it was open to the public. In
exchange for the opportunity to tour the house,
visitors were asked to donate $3 each, which
went to two local housing charities, Eastern Shore
Affordable Houses and Under His Wings.
Stokes said that the amount of interest generated
by the 2013 Showcase Home, which has been
sold, has been "simply incredible," and added
that Truland is still receiving inquiries and selling
homes based on the 2012 Showcase Home as well.
About the builder:
Truland Homes was founded in 2011 and has been
a member of the Baldwin County Home Builders
Association since its inception. They build custom
homes on a pre-sale and spec basis, with 120
homes constructed in 2013.
Located just off the foyer, the study is
highlighted by a vaulted ceiling with
beams and stained wood planks.
A bonus room above the garage provides flexibility
in adapting to suit the homeowners' needs, from
being used as a "man cave" to a home office.
