22 Landscape and Irrigation January/February 2014 www.landscapeirrigation.com Billy Goat turf renovators Billy Goat offers a full range of turf renovation equipment. The AE401 aerator features the industry's softest tine en- gagement with exclusive Lift N Lock disengagement for best-in-class comfort and productivity. The rugged PR550 power rake is designed for the most demanding use, and with optional accessories, converts to an overseeder or vertislicer. The OS901SPS hydrostatic overseeder is a self-propelled unit equipped with a foot-actuated pedal to raise and lower the reel for reduced operator fatigue, as well as a new blade design for better slicing, reduced thatch pickup, and longer life. Classen turf renovators Classen offers a full line of turf renovation products, including aerators, turf rakes, and seeders. Its aerator lineup in- cludes the CA-18 (17.5-inch aerating width) compact unit; TA-19D and TA-26D self-propelled units with 19- and 26.5- inch aerating widths, respectively; TA-17D and TA-25D self-propelled split-drive units with 16.25- and 24.375-inch aerating widths, respectively; SA-25 Stand-Aer ride-on unit with 24.375-inch aerating width; tow-behind, manual- and electric-lift units with 42-, 52- and 62-inch aerating widths; and 3-point-hitch units with 42-, 52-, 62- and 72-inch aerating widths. For dethatching, Classen offers many 20-inch turf rakes, which can be converted to turf seeders or vertical cutters in minutes. The turf rake lineup includes the TR-20 standard unit; TRC-20, which is the TR-20 with an 8-cubic-foot catcher bag; and TRS-20, a hydrostatic self-propelled unit. For seeding or overseeding, Classen has several 20-inch turf seeders, which can be converted to turf rakes or vertical cutters in minutes with easy-to-change blade reels. The seeder lineup consists of the TS-20 wheeled unit and TSS-20 self-propelled unit. DR Lawn Aerator Core aeration is the key to a healthy, gorgeous lawn. By removing cores of turf at regular intervals, the DR Lawn Aerator allows air and water to easily access a lawn's root system. The result is hearty grass plants and a lush lawn. The DR Lawn Aerator is self propelled, making the job as easy as possible. The cast-iron crankshaft synchronizes the tines, so they remove 5/8-inch-diameter plugs of soil at regular intervals as it literally "walks" the machine across the lawn. Ecolawn's ECO 200 self-propelled top dresser The Ecolawn ECO 200 is a rugged, highly versatile and maneuverable, self-propelled top dresser designed for lawn care professionals to increase efficiency and save countless hours of labor. At the core of the ECO 200 is its reverse- spin, dual-wheel broadcast system that delivers a uniform spreading pattern with even the heaviest materials, including compost, soil mix, sand and pellets. In addition, the ECO 200 boasts a new 4-wheel design for increased weight dis- tribution and stability, allowing it to handle more weight without losing any of the original Ecolawn's valued maneu- verability and ease of operation. With an improved, larger hopper opening and new support design, the ECO 200 boasts up to 20 percent more maximum feeding volume than the ECO 100. Additionally, the newly designed hopper reduces or eliminates the bridging potential of less fluid products. Exmark 30-inch stand-on aerator Designed to deliver maximum productivity and durability that lawn care professionals demand, the Exmark 30-inch stand-on aerator features a split-tine design to allow easier turning with tines engaged. The compact design heightens maneuverability in tight spaces, while the 30-inch aeration width and 7.5-mph top speed deliver maximum productivity. Mass is centralized directly over the tines for maximum core depth consistency, and core depth is adjustable from 2 to 5 inches. The self-cleaning tines are easy to replace. Tine down-force is hydraulic-actuated, and adjustable by the op- erator. An electric-start Kawasaki V-Twin powerplant delivers professional-grade power, reliability and durability. The Exmark 30-inch stand-on aerator is covered by a 1-year limited warranty. Grasshopper AERA-vator coreless lawn aerator The Grasshopper AERA-vator coreless lawn aerator allows users to aerate and loosen compacted soil in less time with less labor compared to a walk-behind or pull-behind aerator — even in the tightest of spaces. The PTO-driven AERA-vator works without slicing or cutting, improving turf development and water absorption with little surface disruption. The patented vibrating tines deep-fracture soil instead of plugging cores, which means turf areas are immediately available for use. The AERA-vator attaches in place of the out-front mower deck for zero-turn maneu- verability to improve tee boxes and compacted cart paths, or aerate large turf areas, such as athletic fields and parks, quickly and efficiently.
