Owner-operator Carlos Hernandez runs
Kissimmee, Fla.-based HDZ Towing
Services, a company specializing in auto,
light-, medium- and heavy-duty towing.
He says he tows cars, trucks, machin-
ery and "whatever will fit" with his rig, a
1993 Peterbilt 378 powered by a Cummins
N14 engine. Originally from Puerto Rico,
Hernandez enjoys listening to Puerto Rican
and Latin music while on the road.
Restored beauty
Owner-operator Bubba Randolph, who
runs Blacksburg, S.C.-based Randolph
Transportation, purchased this 1990 Mack
RW613 Superliner in 1997 and set out to
completely restore the rig. He finished his
project in 2001, and it's been on the road
since. Randolph hauls primarily equipment
and oversized loads with the truck, which
is powered by a Mack E9500 engine and an
18-speed transmission.
